"Quarking Duck" based on Peter Macinness' "Monster Maintenance Manual" characters for the Murdoch Books "Monster Maintenance Manual" competition.
Monster Maintenance Manual will be a kids book poking at the 'monsters' kids often fear, rationalising them and making them funny rather than scary, and not without fears of their own. The "Quarking Ducks" are pretty much ordinary ducks, but with strange tastes and interests. Sometimes they can be very fat, though. They march in packs, stamping in rhythm and like marching on surfaces that best allow for making a racket. Quarking Ducks find that a clean bedroom floor is ideal for stamping, so this can be a good excuse for a messy room. They wear big black boots for marching, but carry with them a pair of gumboots for when they go into 'wetter' areas to get worms for their pet 'shoelace monsters'. Pumped these little guys out in 1 1/2 days.. pretty happy with how they came out considering. Anyhow my entries were unsuccessful so now uploading  .Please full view  |
