........ wordless graphic novel?
Well, no wonder it reminds me of Lynd Ward's "God's Man"
Did you ever finish the novel?.........

1000 points for the Lynd Ward namedropping!! I love his work so much so that's a huge compliment.. way ahead of his time and still stands strong today. Definitely one of favourite Illustrators, and probably the most influential for me of all the all wordless books masters!

I have put the book on hold, as it turned into a much bigger beast; however I am slowly still plugging away with it, and planning some much greater things for it :)

Cheers!

thanks,

So what do I get with the 1000 points??

I also love Lynd's works . . .

. . . also Masereel, Kollwitz, Helen West Heller and others. . .

Do me a favor: stop referring to Ward as an Illustrator - call him an ARTIST - which he was and will always be... it's just my humble suggestion...

with all due respect

To me, Illustration is about communication. And for me that's exactly what Wards' work does - effectively communicates a narrative. I usually avoid the art vs illustration argument and Illustration being considered a dirty word; but for me I am at this point in time interested in design and communication then 'art'..

Masereel on the other hand though I would definitely call an artist.

Just my 2 cents..
